Some of the services we provide for our Residential, Commercial and Industrial Customers include:

  • General Pest Control

Pest management has become a major industry in helping preserve the value of your home or business. State Pest Control is committed to protecting your investment from unwanted pests by offering affordable, reliable solutions for your pest control needs.

  • Wood Destroying Insects

Wood destroying insects are of the utmost importance with homeowners and business owners because of the damage that they can cause to various types of structures. In fact, these organisms cause more damage to structures than all other natural disasters combined. This is why banks and mortgage companies usually require a qualified inspection of the property for these organisms prior to the purchase.

  • Termite Protection

Termites are the major wood-destroying structural pests in the southern United States. According to some estimates, over $2 billion are spent annually in the U.S. controlling or preventing termite infestations.

  • Fire Ants

The imported fire ant has move extensively across North Carolina in recent years and effective management is becoming a concern for more and more people each year. Fire ants have been causing problems literally since day one when they entered the United States near Mobile, Alabama around 60 years ago. The fire ant remains a serious pest in the Southeast United States. It now occupies well over 250 million acres.

  • Mosquitoes

Mosquitoes are important pests because their biting activity often interferes with outdoor activities and can transmit disease organisms to people and domestic animals. Most mosquitoes are active during twilight hours and at night; however, around the home, the mosquitoes that breed in discarded containers are active during the day.

  • Bed Bugs

Once bed bugs have invaded your home, they can be tough to eliminate. Their habits, size and their hardy nature help contribute to their persistence in homes that they have invaded. A bed bug's secretive nature makes it a difficult pest to identify and eliminate. These insects are not seen crawling around in the daylight hours where they would be easily identified.

  • Moisture Control

Knowing the moisture content of the wood is particularly helpful for problems with wood-boring beetle and wood-decaying fungi. Wood moisture content can only be determined using a moisture meter. Make sure that enough readings are collected so as to be truly representative of the area of concern. High wood-moisture readings (i.e., readings above 20%) in crawlspaces, attics or exterior walls of log homes could indicate problems other than simply insects.

  • Wood Destroying Insect Reports

Wood Destroying Insect Reports (WDIR) are used by inspection and pest management companies to officially record the results of a WDIR inspection, performed prior to the purchase of real estate property. The purpose is to determine if there are any wood destroying insects causing, or potentially causing, damage to the property. These wood destroying insects are termites, carpenter ants, wood boring beetles, and carpenter bees.
